The Birmingham REP, as it is commonly known, moved into its Centenary Square in 1971. Since then it has seen a number of refurbishments and extensions as the Square has developed.

The Symphony Hall was opened in Centenary Square in 1991. It is home to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. The foyer was rebuilt between 2019-21.
The Birmingham Contemporary Art Gallery was privately run by husband and wife team, Albert and Sarah Wallace. It was above Legoland Discovery Centre at Utilita Arena Birmingham. 2020-22.
Victoria Square was originally called Council House Square, but was re-named to Victoria Square after Queen Victoria in 1901, just 12 days before she passed away.
